Acceptable Use Policy

Contents

House Color Visualizer is for planning exterior colors on real homes. To keep it useful and fair, these rules apply to everything you upload and create.

Photos you can use

  • Homes you own or rent.
  • Homes you have been hired or asked to work on (painters, contractors, designers, realtors), with the owner's permission.
  • Openly licensed or public photos of buildings, for your own planning.

What is not allowed

  • Photos where people are the subject. People who happen to be in the frame are left as they are, but the service is not for editing people.
  • Photos you don't have the right to use, or photos of someone else's home taken to harass or track them.
  • Sexual, violent, hateful or otherwise harmful content.
  • Using renders to deceive people, for example passing a render off as a photo of finished work.
  • Trying to get around free limits, payments or safety checks, or using the service in bulk or by automation.

Real estate listings

If you use a render in a real estate listing or advertisement, label it clearly as a virtual rendering, for example "Virtually painted. Actual colors may differ." Many listing services and state rules require this, and buyers deserve to know.

Enforcement and reports

We may refuse, remove or stop renders that break this policy and suspend accounts that keep doing so. To report misuse, email hello@housecolorvisualizer.com.
